Bastl Instruments began in 2013 as a friendly group of geeks in Brno, Czech Republic, evolving into a family-run company dedicated to developing electronic musical instruments that foster DIY communities and unique sound exploration. They produce a range of wild inventions including Eurorack modules like Thyme+ and the Citadel platform, standalone synthesizers such as the iconic pocket synth Kastle series with successors like FX Wizard, Wave Bard, and Alchemist, and studio utilities, all designed to combat boredom and fuel creativity through open-source schematics, hacking, and modding.
