Battery Operated is a small‑scale music‑hardware project that modifies cassette players into experimental desktop effects units, most notably the QF‑XL, which adds speed‑modded tape playback, built‑in delay and feedback, and hands‑on controls for real‑time ambient and lo‑fi sound manipulation.
