Generalmusic

Generalmusic was established in 1987 as an Italian musical instrument manufacturing company specializing in digital pianos, synthesizers, and keyboards under the GEM brand, which became synonymous with technological innovation in electronic pianos and keyboards. The company also operated LEM, a division focused on amplification and sound systems. Generalmusic filed for bankruptcy in 2009 and was declared bankrupt in 2011, but the brand was recently acquired through an Italian entrepreneurial initiative and relaunched with new product lines emerging as early as 2026.
