Jen Electronics
Pescara, Italy
Jen Electronics was founded in 1969 in Pescara, Italy, and quickly rose to become Europe's largest OEM manufacturer of guitar effects pedals, producing for brands like Vox and Gretsch while marketing its own line. The company ventured into synthesizers with innovative instruments like the SX-1000 and SX-2000 Synthetone in the late 1970s, featuring early digitally controlled oscillators ahead of many competitors. Its brief foray into keyboards ended with the Synx 508 in the mid-1980s.
