MPC Electronics emerged in the early 1980s as innovators in electronic percussion instruments, based in the village of Willingham amid forested acres near Cambridge. Under Managing Director Mike Coxhead, the company developed The Kit analog drum machine, which sold nearly 10,000 units within a year of its release, and introduced the Music Percussion Computer, showcasing their approach to accessible rhythm technology.
