Oxford Synthesiser Company

Chris Huggett founded the Oxford Synthesiser Company after the collapse of Electronic Dream Plant in 1982. He designed the electronics for the OSCar synthesizer, launched in 1983, while Anthony Harrison-Griffin created its distinctive industrial design. The OSCar stood out with its hybrid analog-digital architecture, featuring digital oscillators capable of additive synthesis alongside a resonant analog filter, and later models included MIDI implementation. Around 2000 units were produced before manufacturing ended in 1985.
