polyUAnalog is a DIY open-source polyphonic analog synthesizer project developed by scientists Matthieu and Dominique from the University of Angers. The synthesizer combines analog and digital components, using AS3397 synth voice chips for analog sound generation and Raspberry Pi boards for digital tuning, envelope generation, LFOs, and effects processing. The architecture supports configurable polyphony from mono to an estimated maximum of 120 voices, with the SynthFest France 2024 prototype featuring ten analog voices.
