PWM is the company founded by Paul Whittington, a veteran developer and product manager who previously contributed to products at M-Audio and Novation/Focusrite, including the Oxygen series, Launchkey, Peak, BassStation 2, and MonoStation. Driven by a passion for creating playable, fun, and inspiring instruments rooted in a musical background, Whittington launched PWM to produce innovative synthesizers like the semi-modular analog Malevolent, developed in collaboration with Bristol-based Future Sound Systems, and the hybrid-analog Mantis, the final project of the late Chris Huggett. Recently, PWM acquired the OSCar brand and rights, keeping its legacy in British hands.
