Serge Modular
serge-modular.comSerge Modular is an analogue modular synthesizer system originally developed by Serge Tcherepnin, Rich Gold, and Randy Cohen at CalArts in late 1972. The first 20 systems were built in 1973 in Tcherepnin's home. As one of the founders of the West Coast approach to synthesis alongside Don Buchla, Serge Tcherepnin stepped away from the modular business for over 35 years before returning to the field. He rejoined the industry as Chief Innovation Officer, continuing to develop new generations of the Serge modular synthesizer system. The brand is known for its distinctive Banana Jack format and remains active in producing both Eurorack and 4U systems.
