Twelve years ago, Pieter van der Meer founded Tasty Chips Electronics with a focus on hardware synthesizers. The company gained prominence in 2017 with the GR-1, the first proper hardware granular synthesizer, achieving breakthrough success six years before granular synthesis became widely popular. Subsequent developments include the GR-Mega Granular Workstation, which entered production with strong demand evidenced by a seven-month waiting list.
