Vongon is a husband-and-wife team based in Oakland, California, founded in 2020 by Ryan McGill and his wife Katie. The company gained recognition for crafting boutique effects pedals that blend retro aesthetics with modern technology, including acclaimed designs like the Paragraphs filter pedal, Ultrasheer stereo reverb/vibrato, and Polyphrase stereo delay/looper. In a notable expansion, Vongon introduced the Replay, their first polyphonic synthesizer inspired by 1980s classics like the Roland Juno and Korg Polysix, featuring a six-voice virtual analog engine, multi-mode arpeggiator, and Cherry MX keybed—all handmade with meticulous attention to detail.
