Granola OpenMPC turns the original Akai MPC One into a standalone granular instrument through an independent application environment. Each part provides a grain cloud, filtering, modulation and grain-window controls, with parameter-lock pads and free-running gesture loops for shaping a performance. Shared delay, reverb, master processing and momentary effects bring the parts together, while a generative rhythm section and additional sound sources extend the instrument beyond granular playback. Projects and patterns store performance snapshots. The environment runs from an SD card, providing an alternative musical workflow on the MPC's touchscreen, pads and controls.
