M-Flasher is an open-source USB recovery and flashing tool for the M-VAVE FM-1 on Windows, macOS and Linux. It connects through the chip’s built-in download mode, so it can back up, restore or reinstall firmware even when the installed firmware no longer starts. The device information panel displays the flash-chip ID, helping identify units with the original 0x856014 or newer 0xB36014 chip. A graphical flash map shows the firmware, bootloader and saved-data areas, with the sectors an operation will change highlighted before writing. M-Flasher saves a full backup before the first write of a session, checks firmware packages against the connected model, preserves factory data and verifies written sectors. A command-line interface also supports inspection, backup, restore and running development programs in RAM. It can install m-bootloader or restore the stock bootloader. Installing m-bootloader on the newer 0xB36014 flash chip carries a warning because testing is limited and some units have failed to start; chip identification is not a guarantee that every bootloader or firmware is compatible.

Installing third-party firmware can brick your unit and may void its warranty. Back up first and follow the project's instructions. Read the docs.
