RMXXXL is a performance remix effect for the first-generation Akai Force, loaded as an insert plugin in MPC OS's built-in plugin host on a track, submix or the master. One-knob Build Up and Break Down scene effects move the filter, echo, granular processor, reverb and a noise riser together. Alongside them are a three-band kill isolator with instant kill buttons, a bipolar resonant DJ filter, a tempo-synced echo, a six-mode granular texture processor, plate, room and hall reverbs and a look-ahead brickwall limiter. A Release switch drops everything back to the dry signal, instantly or with a timed fade, and Release FX adds echo-out, vinyl-brake and backspin moves. Four pads trigger built-in drum sounds or swappable WAV one-shots with their own envelopes, as single hits or tempo-locked rolls, and a Panic button restores the defaults without a click. Everything has its own touchscreen pages and Q-Link sets, sixteen user preset slots are stored on the device, and a MIDI track can play the pads and switches through the plugin's own MIDI port. Installing it requires root SSH access to the Force, for example through a community mod, because stock MPC OS cannot load third-party plugins.

Liminal Hz
effectsgithub
Liminal Hz is a convolution reverb for Akai Force and MPC OS, with impulse-response browsing and a touchscreen display of the space you are shaping. Load mono or stereo WAV impulse responses, adjust their start and end points, fade, stretch or reverse them, then shape the result with decay, feedback, pre-delay, tone and stereo width. Factory spaces provide starting points, and personal presets keep your chosen response and settings. A companion browser page on the same network lets a phone name presets and browse TONE3000 impulse responses. Separate builds support first-generation MPC/Force devices and 64-bit Gen 2 devices. Installation is unofficial and requires root access and the correct build for the device; the longer-impulse mode uses more processing power on first-generation hardware.
Machinemodule
emulationgithub.com
Machinemodule brings the Elektron Machinedrum SPS-1 UW sound engine to Akai MPC OS standalone devices as a native plugin, built and tested on the Force. All 16 Machinedrum tracks play from one plugin instance using the Machinedrum's own DSP code, with its machine, LFO and mixer behavior, its own touchscreen page and Q-Link control. Nothing from Elektron is distributed: you build the plugin yourself with one script from your own Machinedrum UW OS file, and a flash image adds the ROM machines and factory kits. Tap plugins can route each track or effect send to its own MPC track. It runs on MPC OS 3.x and needs root SSH access to install.
Monomodule
emulationgithub.com
Monomodule brings shnolk's chip-accurate emulation of the Elektron Monomachine synth engine to first-generation Akai MPC OS devices as native plugins. Monomodule One is an instrument with the Monomachine's 15 synth machines, and Monomodule FX is the engine's seven effect machines as an audio effect, each with its own touchscreen page and Q-Link control. You build it yourself with one command from your own Monomachine OS file, since nothing from Elektron is included. It runs on MPC OS 3.x on first-generation hardware (the Force, MPC Live and Live II, One, X and Key 61) and needs root SSH access to install.
MINI-JV
emulationgithub.com
MINI-JV is a Roland JV-880 emulator as a native plugin for Akai MPC OS standalone devices, with the JV-880's ROM PCM sound engine and its own reverb and chorus. It loads in the MPC's plugin host with its own touchscreen pages and Q-Link control. The Play page puts eight macros (cutoff, resonance, filter envelope depth, LFO depth and the amp envelope) beside output, patch and effect settings on one screen, and further pages cover banks and the four tones. You supply your own JV-880 ROM dump, which must be version 1.0.0. Builds are available for first-generation MPCs and the Force and for second-generation MPCs, on MPC OS 3.x, and installing needs root SSH access.
LXRXXL
emulationgithub.com
LXRXXL puts the LXR-02 drum synthesizer's open-source sound engine on the Akai Force and first-generation MPCs as a native plugin. The whole LXR-02 panel sits on one page: display, pots, data encoder, faders, every button with its LED and the 16 step keys, playable from the touchscreen and the Force's pads. The six voices (three drums, snare, clap/cymbal and hi-hat) run the firmware's own oscillators, transient generator, filters, envelopes, LFOs, FM and FX unit with drive, ring modulation, compression and delay, plus its plate reverb, and kits use the LXR-02's own format. Around the engine sits a 64-pattern sequencer with per-step velocity, probability and parameter locks, shuffle, songs and recording. It runs on MPC OS 3.x and needs root SSH access to install.
OB-Xd
synthgithub
OB-Xd is an unofficial virtual-analog synthesizer port for first-generation Akai Force and MPC standalone devices. Its two-oscillator sound engine, filter, envelopes, modulation and voice variation are presented on touchscreen pages with Q-Link controls. Unison, glide, oscillator sync and cross-modulation cover basses, leads and polyphonic sounds, while tempo-synced LFO modulation follows the project. Browse banks and patches on the screen, load OB-Xd FXB banks or individual FXP programs, and keep personal sounds in a folder preserved across updates. Switchable interface themes offer several panel styles. This native 32-bit ARM VST2 build requires MPC OS 3.x and root/SSH access; newer 64-bit MPC devices are not supported by its current release.
Odin 2
synthgithub
Odin 2 brings a semi-modular synthesizer to first-generation Akai Force and MPC standalone devices as a native VST2 instrument. Three oscillators cover analog-style, wavetable and digital sounds, with multiple filters, envelopes, LFOs, an arpeggiator and onboard effects. Factory patches load through the bank browser or MPC’s preset menu, and touchscreen pages group sound controls into Q-Link columns. A CPU meter, automatic voice budgeting and Eco modes help manage demanding patches. Delay, reverb, chorus, phaser and flanger extend the sound, while interface themes and project recall support everyday use. Some deeper engine settings remain stored in patches without dedicated touchscreen controls. Installation requires MPC OS 3.x and root/SSH access on a compatible first-generation device.
PrLogueXXL
synthgithub
PrLogueXXL is a prologue-inspired polyphonic synthesizer for Akai Force and MPC OS. Two shaped oscillators and a multi-engine feed a two-pole filter, envelopes and modulation, with polyphonic, mono, unison and chord modes. Main and Sub timbres can be layered, crossfaded or split across the keyboard, and the multi-engine includes noise, variable phase modulation and a waves oscillator. Four touchscreen pages expose the instrument through Q-Links, with program storage, MIDI control and an arpeggiator that follows the host’s tempo. Modulation effects, delay, reverb and a low-frequency compressor complete the signal path. Installation requires root/SSH access and a compatible first-generation MPC OS device. Its user oscillator section does not load prologue hardware oscillator files.
LXRXXL BAZZLINE
synthgithub
LXRXXL BAZZLINE is an eight-track bass synthesizer and sequencer for Akai Force and MPC OS. Each voice combines oscillator, FM or wavetable modes with sub and noise sources, swarm modulation, drive and Polivoks-style or diode filtering. Accent, slide, pitch modulation and arpeggiation shape acid lines, subs, Reese basses and more percussive bass sounds. Patterns follow MPC’s tempo and transport, with individual track control, a mixer, delay sends and a MIDI-triggered gate or ducking effect. Sound and performance slots move settings between projects, while the host project saves the complete instance. Touchscreen panels and Q-Link pages expose the controls. Installation requires MPC OS 3.x and root/SSH access on a first-generation device. The project’s licence restricts commercial use.
Fretty
guitargithub
Fretty is a guitar and string instrument for first-generation Akai Force and MPC standalone devices. Clean recorded instruments play through a six-string model that assigns notes to strings and frets, with an animated fretboard, strumming direction, palm mute, legato, capo and slide controls. Its instrument collection also includes harps, violin and zithers. Blend the sampled instrument with a plucked-string layer or a subtractive synth, then add drive, chorus, echo and reverb. Chord pads provide scale-based voicings, with adjustable timing and velocity variation and tempo-synced echo. Dedicated touchscreen pages and Q-Links expose the playing and sound controls. This native 32-bit ARM VST2 plugin requires MPC OS 3.x and root/SSH access.
Sonix
samplergithub
Sonix is a layered sample-based instrument for first-generation Akai Force and MPC standalone devices. Its preset library covers pianos, keys, guitars, orchestral instruments, choirs, pads, synths, basses and bells. Each sound can combine four layers, with independent instrument selection, level, pan, tuning, enable and solo controls. Shape the result with a resonant filter and envelope, an LFO for filter movement, vibrato or tremolo, plus chorus, tempo-synced delay and reverb. The touchscreen browser supports favourites, while Q-Links, the data wheel and project recall keep browsing and editing on the device. Several colour themes are available. This native 32-bit ARM VST2 release requires MPC OS 3.x and root/SSH access.
