Turn Strudel live-coding patterns into MIDI clips with a built-in editor and preview. Strudelton bakes notes, drums, chords, velocity, and probability into a clip; sound-engine controls are intentionally not rendered. - Right-click a Session clip slot → "Strudel: Edit & bake…" — opens the editor; write a pattern, set how many bars to bake, hit Bake. The pattern's notes land in a fresh looping MIDI clip. - Right-click a MIDI clip → "Strudel: Edit & bake…" — re-open that clip's pattern and re-bake. - Live preview in the editor: a piano-roll of exactly what will bake, transpile errors inline, and a flag for sound-only controls that get dropped (speed, lpf, …). - Built-in cheat sheet (the ? cheatsheet button): what bakes — scales, chords, arps, velocity/probability, drums — plus the Strudel-vs-Ableton octave gotcha and what's ignored.

    Fixes MIDI notes that start just before a clip's start/loop point and therefore miss their note-on, so the first chord or drum hit actually sounds. If you play piano or program drums, you know the problem: a clip starts on the downbeat but the note (or chord) was played a hair early, so its note-on falls outside the clip and the first beat goes silent. Right-click a MIDI clip → Repair 1st beat, and any note crossing the start marker (or loop start) gets a guaranteed attack at that point. Modes Smart (default) — notes played just-early are nudged in for a clean attack; genuinely sustained notes are split so their body is preserved. Truncate — move the note head to the start point. Split — keep the outside part as a separate note. Cut at the start marker, the loop start, or both (re-attacks on every loop pass). Adjustable smart threshold (1/8–1/64). You can feed CU-Quartet either a melody which will be the soprano (or violin) stem, bass + melody which surely improves the chord guesswork, or a full chord and ask for a better re-voicing using common part-writing rules and optionally some more stricter theories/rules based on a lot of studies on Bach chorales.
