Syntakt Firmware Workbench is an unofficial browser-based development tool for owners of the Elektron Syntakt. It loads the owner's own copy of the official Syntakt OS file, applies changes made in its tools, and builds a new OS file for the owner to flash with the usual update process. Everything runs in the browser tab, nothing is uploaded, the page never talks to the instrument, and only the specific official OS release the tools were made for is accepted. Its SY CHORD Wave Bank tool replaces the waves of the SY CHORD machine with the owner's own single-cycle WAV files, generated chord waves or imported wave banks, normalizing and band-limiting each wave and redrawing the small wave pictures on the screen. Its Deja Vu LFO tool adds an LFO shape that steps through a loop of random levels with each note, with controls for loop length, direction and how often the loop repeats or changes. Before offering a download the page checks that the new file differs from the official one only in the regions its tools declare. The repository also includes Windows scripts to flash an OS file over USB and to test whether a MIDI interface can carry a firmware restore over DIN.
