Back in 2008, this drum machine hit the scene as a portable powerhouse tailored for hip-hop and R&B producers, packing over 700 pro-grade samples from Chronic Music into a battery-powered box you could toss in a backpack.

At its core, it's a 32-voice PCM digital drum machine with 414 drum and percussion hits—including classic 808 and 909 emulations—plus 306 one-shots and 64 synth sounds for bass, leads, and more, all playable via 12 bright, backlit MPC-style pads that pulse with the beat for precise triggering. The sequencer holds 99 preset and 99 user patterns, chainable into 100 songs, with step or real-time recording, drum roll/note repeat, 9 quantization levels, swing, and tempo from 30-300 BPM via tap or wheel. Controls are hands-on with a backlit LCD, dedicated mode buttons for drum/one-shot/synth layers, and editing tools like transpose and erase; effects include reverb, EQ, compression, and a master EQ/compressor with 14 presets. Outputs cover stereo main, two mono, aux, headphones, and mic input for vocals, all in a sturdy 340 x 320 x 130 mm chassis weighing just 1.7 kg.

Beatmakers loved its quick workflow for live pattern chaining and solid urban kits, though some wished for user sample loading—the fixed sounds keep it focused but limit expansion.[web:1][web:2][web:5][web:6]
