One of the first synths to pack wavescanning and mutant oscillators into a compact desktop form, it launched a wave of excitement back in 2019 for letting sound designers twist waveforms in ways that feel both vintage and wildly futuristic.

At its core, three wavetable oscillators per voice—drawing from 219 single-cycle waveforms—feed into unique Mutators for FM-linear, Wavestack detuning, hard sync sweeps, pulse width modulation, and more, all without eating up oscillator slots. Dual filters (one multimode with 11 profiles including formant and LPG, the other a morphing SEM-style state-variable) run in series or parallel, shaped by a 32-slot mod matrix, five looping DAHDSR envelopes, and five LFOs with step sequencer modes up to 64 steps. The 8-voice polyphonic engine includes ring mod, noise generator, arpeggiator, and effects like multi-stage delays, reverbs with freeze, and pre/post processing via chorus, phaser, distortion, and others. Controls shine with 24 RGB-backlit poly aftertouch pads in multiple layouts and scales, a ribbon controller, endless encoders with LED rings, OLED waveform displays, macro knobs, MPE support, CV/Gate I/O for modular integration, and a built-in battery for portability—all in a rackable 17.3 x 8.8 x 2.8-inch metal chassis weighing just under 8 pounds.
