JN-80

KeyboardAnalogPolyphonic

$669

Imagine dialing in those iconic Juno-60 tones but with two extra voices of polyphony and modern tweaks that make it even more playable today. The JN-80 captures that classic analog warmth in a compact DeepMind-sized chassis, delivering the Juno sound Behringer fans have been chasing.

At its heart, eight DCOs per voice pump out saw, square, and pulse-width waveforms, thickened by a sub-oscillator one octave down and a global noise generator. A discrete 3109-based 24dB/oct lowpass filter—complete with resonance and positive/negative envelope amount—pairs with a high-pass filter and 662 VCA for punchy, responsive tones, all run through a lush multi-stage BBD chorus with two combinable modes. One ADSR envelope shapes filter and amplitude, while a single LFO handles PWM, pitch, and cutoff modulation with tempo sync. The 49 semi-weighted full-size keys respond to velocity and polyphonic aftertouch, flanked by spring-loaded pitch/mod wheels, and you get five voice modes like unison, double, and quad for everything from fat leads to stacked pads. Hands-on controls include an LCD with encoder, assignable preset buttons, arpeggiator with up/down modes and external sync, poly portamento, and 400 user patches (200 factory) with compare/match for easy tweaking.

Early demos from NAMM have players buzzing about its authentic Juno vibe upgraded for stage use—tight build at 32.5 x 10.3 x 4.3 inches and 16 pounds, full MIDI/CC over USB/DIN, CV/gate/pedal inputs, and stereo outs make it a rig essential without the vintage fragility.
