SP1200X

Eight pads and eight faders give this prototype sampler a hands-on layout inspired by the E-mu SP-1200. The SP1200X pairs these controls with a row of rotary controls, a color display and dedicated transport, pattern and song buttons. Behringer has announced it as an open-source project that is still in development.

The photographed rear panel shows two sample-input jacks, RCA phono inputs, two Mix Out jacks and eight numbered output jacks, alongside DIN MIDI In, Out and Thru, Sync In and Out, and USB-C Host and Device ports. A headphone output is shown on the front. Behringer is aiming for a US$200 price, but final pricing, availability and detailed software specifications have not been confirmed.
