A 16 × 8 illuminated pad matrix anchors this groovebox concept, designed around polyphonic sequencing, sampling, synthesis, live looping and clip launching. Behringer proposes an affordable, customizable hardware platform that users could adapt through their own software, including code written with AI assistance.

The concept image shows eight rotary controls, a central navigation wheel and a large color display alongside the pad grid. Vibe Matrix remains a concept rather than an announced production model. Behringer hopes to bring prototypes to NAMM 2027, subject to community interest; final specifications, price and release date have not been confirmed.

Behringer, part of Music Tribe, is a controversial yet influential manufacturer known for making affordable audio equipment. In recent years, they have aggressively entered the synthesizer market by producing accessible clones of classic vintage instruments (Model D, RD-8, 2600) as well as original designs like the DeepMind. Their mission to double the market has brought analog synthesis to a wider audience than ever before.
