DrumKid

Randomness sits at the heart of this Eurorack drum machine, adding or subtracting hits from programmed rhythms according to controllable probability. Fine control over how often chance is evaluated, which channels it affects, and how likely an extra hit transforms familiar patterns into evolving grooves or high-frequency glitch textures.

Sample-based digital playback runs at 44.1 kHz and 16-bit resolution, with two audio outputs, four trigger outputs, four CV inputs, and adjustable clock input and output. Samples load from the included SD card, while live and step editing, tap tempo, and triplet, quintuplet, and septuplet modes support hands-on pattern construction.

The open-source 24 HP design is 28 mm deep and exposes editable firmware for musicians who want to modify its behavior. Twelve dedicated parameter knobs, a four-digit display, and direct randomness controls keep the module playable without hiding its experimental side.
