Programma 900 2.0 offers 6 polytonal voices, each voice with direct control over odd and even harmonics, harmonic partials, harmonic tilt, and fundamental frequency, letting you sculpt dense chordal clouds or finely tuned overtonal lines from the ground up. Four quadrant multiplication between individual voices opens up complex intermodulation, while x32 complex gestural CV buffers provide up to 6 minute recording windows for every modulation destination and voice envelope, each buffer with its own speed and attenuation mode. A 3000 note MIDI record buffer and looper, MIDI matrix, and per note function assign turn the machine into a performance sequencer as well as a sound source.
Spectral state morphing and harmonic lock keep evolving timbres coherent, and nine experimental DSP algorithms extend the palette into time stretching flangers, 16 pole through zero phasers, Hadamard matrix and FDN reverbs, granular stereo processing, buffer scanning, and self modulating scanning effects. The hardware is complemented by a desktop and browser app that unlocks additional utilities: multiple voice allocation modes, drum-oriented pnp mode, global parameter randomisation, per voice parameter grouping, calibration, preset management, and a physics mode where up to five virtual balls move in a 250x250 field, driving parameters via velocity, wave based offsets, and optional magnet style forces for generative, evolving control.
