Guitar riffs, drum machines and DJ sets all take on a sharper, more dangerous edge when they hit a true Polivoks filter in stereo. Acidbox III is Erica Synths’ compact desktop gateway into that world, wrapping the infamous Soviet circuit in a modern, performance-ready processor for studio and stage.
At its core, Acidbox III is a stereo analog lowpass/bandpass filter built around original Polivoks-style programmable op-amps, paired with a dedicated overdrive circuit for everything from subtle saturation to snarling distortion. Adjustable input gain lets you feed guitars, line-level synths, grooveboxes or modular signals straight in, while the stereo path can also widen mono sources for a more immersive feel. A built-in LFO with up to eight waveshapes, tap tempo and divide/multiply control, plus an envelope follower with its own modulation level, make it easy to animate cutoff with rhythmic sweeps, pulses and dynamic, signal-responsive movement, all tamed by a master modulation knob for instant performance control.
Designed to drop seamlessly into real-world setups, Acidbox III provides manual and CV control over cutoff, as well as a configurable control input that can accept a bypass footswitch, expression pedal, external cutoff CV or an LFO sync trigger. Line inputs and balanced outputs on the rear keep connections clean, while the rugged full-aluminum enclosure stays compact at 185 x 140 x 55 mm and just 0.7 kg. Whether you’re filtering a DJ mix, mangling a drum bus or giving soft synths an unapologetically dirty analog finish, Acidbox III delivers a confident, characterful sound that stands out in any chain.
