HybridParaphonic

Named after the Latvian god of thunder, this hybrid drum synth unleashes four paraphonic voices that blend digital oscillators with analog filters for rhythms that hit like lightning.

Each voice packs a digital sound engine with three modes—think foldable sines, FM complexity, wavetable morphing, and pulse drums—fed into a multimode analog filter (highpass, bandpass, lowpass) with overdrive, plus eight hands-on knobs for tune, decay, cutoff, drive, FX send, and level. A 64-step four-track sequencer brings per-step ratchets, probabilities, four shuffle flavors, and clock dividers/multipliers for polyrhythmic mayhem, all saved in 64 patterns and kits (expandable via SD card). Velocity-sensitive trigger inputs, individual mono outs, sends/returns, and MIDI I/O make it a live performer's dream, with a built-in BBD delay, optical compressor, overdrive, and assignable LFO for morphing modulation. Housed in a sturdy black desktop chassis (455 x 315 x 90 mm, 4.5 kg) powered by a 12V external supply, it sums to stereo outs and a headphone jack.

Users love its immediate tweakability and thunderous analog edge, turning static beats into dynamic storms—though some note the sequencer depth rewards dedicated tweaking sessions.
