A stereo effect that turns incoming audio into resonant, musical movement, the Razornator is built for everything from subtle harmonic shaping to more radical sound design. Its core is a five-voice chromatic stereo resonator developed with Dutch company 112dB, designed to emulate the resonance of physical objects, rooms, and instrument bodies.
The signal path starts with a gain stage that can boost signals up to +24 dB, followed by a lowpass filter with resonance, five chromatically tuned delay-based resonators, a compressor, EQ, and balanced output stage. The resonators can be tuned manually or driven by the built-in envelope follower, which adds dynamics to the effect and makes it especially responsive on guitars, synths, drums, and other stereo sources.
With 12 parameters for detailed control, save and recall for all settings, and MIDI control over every parameter, it’s a compact desktop unit made for expressive processing in the studio or on stage. The aluminium enclosure keeps it in line with Erica Synths’ desktop format, while balanced stereo I/O and TRS MIDI make it easy to integrate into modern setups.
