Dub echoes, filter sweeps and tube grit all fuse into one playable, hands-on box of chaos and control. Zen Delay is built for the sweet spot where hypnotic repetition turns into full-blown sonic disruption.
Developed with Ninja Tune, this hybrid desktop unit pairs a BPM-synced stereo delay line with a multi-mode 24 dB synth filter and real valve overdrive, giving you everything from tight rhythmic taps to cavernous dub tails and blown-out, lo-fi textures. Five distinct delay modes cover tape, digital and ping-pong flavours plus a crossover setting, with times ranging from short slapbacks up to extended, tempo-locked repeats via tap tempo or MIDI clock. Every major function sits on its own dedicated knob: delay time, feedback, modulation, dry/wet mix, filter cutoff and resonance, drive, input level and filter mode, plus tap and bypass, inviting you to grab, twist and push the sound in real time.
Stereo line inputs and outputs on quarter-inch jacks make Zen Delay equally at home on a synth table, DJ mixer send or studio patchbay, while MIDI in lets your repeats lock tightly to your performance clock. Housed in a solid metal chassis with Erica Synths’ signature tactile controls, it’s a robust, characterful effects unit that brings warm stereo tone, aggressive dub feedback and rich movement to drum machines, loops, vocals, synths, samples or full mixes.
