UNO Synth Pro X Desktop Analog Synthesizer

DesktopAnalogParaphonic

IK Multimedia's compact desktop synth punches well above its weight, packing three discrete oscillators and dual filters into a footprint that fits comfortably on any desk or in a live rig without sacrificing hands-on control or sonic depth.

The heart of the Pro X is its three wave-morphing oscillators, each capable of PWM, sync, FM, and ring modulation, feeding into a dual-filter architecture that combines a classic OTA-based multimode filter with an SSI-chip low-pass design offering both 2-pole and 4-pole slopes. Three ADSR envelopes and two LFOs handle modulation duties, while a 16-slot modulation matrix lets you route almost any parameter to almost any destination, creating complex evolving textures without menu diving. The synth operates in paraphonic, legato, or mono modes, and there's a dedicated Bassline mode that tweaks the envelope behavior specifically for fluid low-end work.

Performance tools include a 64-step sequencer with real-time and per-step parameter recording across up to 48 parameters, a 10-mode arpeggiator with pattern designer, and sequence randomization that respects your chosen scale. Over 30 hands-on controls give you direct access to sound-shaping tools, while 256 user presets store your creations. The effects section delivers analog overdrive plus three simultaneous digital effect slots covering modulation, delay, and reverb, with ten algorithms total including chorus, univibe, multiple delay modes, and three reverb types.

Connectivity is comprehensive: full-size MIDI in and out, USB-C for power and data, CV and Gate I/O for modular integration, plus audio in for processing external sources through the filters and effects. You get balanced 1/4-inch outputs, a stereo headphone jack, and an audio input on 1/8-inch mini-jacks. The compact 333 x 150 x 50mm chassis weighs just 800 grams, making it genuinely portable while the layout keeps everything you need within arm's reach.

Since its release, the Pro X has earned respect from both bedroom producers and touring musicians for delivering serious synthesis capabilities in a genuinely compact package.
