A filter instrument that treats a single sound like eight separate performances, Bass Frog is built for movement, surprise, and hands-on shaping. It splits audio into eight independent frequency bands, then lets each band be sculpted with its own level, envelope, and Euclidean rhythm pattern.
You can start from the internal oscillator or feed in an external instrument and turn it into shifting rhythmic textures. The filter character can move from smooth ladder-style filtering to resonant twin peak filtering, while automatic audio-input detection keeps the workflow quick and direct.
For performance, Bass Frog adds fader strike mode, animated LED feedback, and a full-strip level meter so you can see the motion as much as hear it. MIDI support covers notes, control changes, clock, and transport, and automatic local takeover helps hardware controls stay responsive when you grab them mid-set.
