Born from Korg's ambitious OASYS project in 1997, this synth brought polyphonic physical modeling to the masses, evolving the monophonic Prophecy into a keyboard powerhouse that emulated everything from breathy reeds to plucked strings with uncanny realism.

At its core, it packs 12-voice polyphony across 13 modeling algorithms blending physical modeling, virtual analog, FM, subtractive, and phase distortion synthesis, with two oscillators per voice plus sub-osc and noise. Dual resonant filters (lowpass, highpass, bandpass, even dual bandpass) pair with four LFOs and a deep mod matrix for endless sound design, routed through two effect units offering 15 types like reverb, chorus, phaser, overdrive, and talkbox. The 61-key velocity-sensitive keyboard with channel aftertouch sits atop a hefty 25.6kg frame measuring 1458 x 484 x 135mm, loaded with 62 buttons, 25 knobs, pitch/mod wheels, and an XY touchpad for hands-on tweaks; a polyphonic arpeggiator with 15 user patterns and 256 patches (32 multis) round it out, all via standard MIDI I/O.
