Stereo Fields

DesktopAnalog

$445

Imagine finger-patching your way into chaotic analog feedback, where your skin becomes the wiring for atonal tones that dance from subsonic clicks to ultrasonic shrieks.

This desktop instrument packs two parallel stereo preamp circuits into a sleek 10 x 5.75 x 1.5-inch aluminum and maple enclosure weighing just 2.5 lbs. Eight gold immersion touch plates let you directly connect to nearly every component, using your body's conductivity to shape pitch, rhythm, distortion, and modulation—think theremin-like sensitivity to breath and hand placement. Stereo 1/4-inch TRS inputs and outputs handle main audio routing through both circuits, while four 3.5mm quad jacks per side (mirrored L/R pairs) manage CV or audio for modular patching, outputting up to ±3.8V of wild, pressure-sensitive control voltage. Twin input and output volume knobs drive distortion, feedback rates, and levels, letting you process external signals, generate synth voices, or blend them all in stereo or quad.

Players love its unpredictable sonic palette—from metallic noise and stereo rhythms to FM/AM weirdness—and how it slots perfectly into modular rigs or standalone setups, though some note it rewards patient experimentation over instant gratification.
