RXR compresses a very specific drum-machine vocabulary into a compact Eurorack module: six stereo PCM voices loaded with 298 sounds drawn from late-'80s and early-'90s Japanese machines. Kicks, snares, toms, cymbals, hats, and metallic percussion are organized into six ready-made kits, each with its own stereo mix and compressor behavior, so it can move quickly from patched percussion voice to complete rhythmic instrument.
The module is also designed to work outside the rack. USB-C power, an onboard 3.5mm stereo output, and Bluetooth MIDI let RXR operate as a small standalone drum machine, while six trigger inputs keep it at home in a modular system. Its ESP32-S3 processor and 32-bit PCM5102 DAC keep playback clean at 44.1kHz, with 16-bit drum encoding and 12-bit dithered compression for cymbals and percussion adding a deliberate vintage edge.
