MF-105M MIDI MuRF

DesktopAnalogMonophonic

Imagine a pedal that turns any sound—guitar riffs, synth lines, or vocals—into a living, breathing rhythm of swirling filters, like a Moog orchestra dancing across your signal path. Released in 2009 as the ultimate evolution of the MuRF series, it blends the midrange magic of the original with the bass-tuned punch of its sibling, all powered by pure analog warmth.

At its core, eight resonant bandpass filters (with a low-pass at 110Hz in Bass mode) span either Bass frequencies from 110Hz to 1.8kHz or Mids up to 3.4kHz, controlled by smooth sliders for real-time level tweaks. A 24-pattern sequencer (12 per mode, user-editable via included software) animates them with envelope shapes from snappy blips to phaser-like sweeps, synced perfectly to MIDI clock, tap tempo, or CV/expression pedals. MIDI handles everything from program changes to CC control of knobs like LFO rate (0.08-20Hz sine wave for group frequency shifts), plus stereo I/O for instrument or line-level sources. Housed in a sturdy 4-pound black chassis with intuitive front-panel layout, it invites hands-on experimentation without overwhelming.

Over the years, players have praised its rhythmic depth for everything from octave tricks to noisy synth chaos, calling it a studio superpower despite a learning curve for sequencing newbies. Though discontinued, its analog soul keeps inspiring adventurous rigs today.
