Hands-on control is only as good as the feedback you get from it. With the E16, every move is visible, recallable, and performance-ready in a compact metal box that disappears into your workflow while keeping your sound firmly under your fingers.
OXI Instruments’ E16 is a multi‑scene performance MIDI controller built around 16 metal push encoders with bright LED rings and an OLED display in a rugged aluminium unibody. Each encoder can target two independent MIDI destinations plus a press action, with support for MIDI CC, NRPN and 14‑bit control, in absolute or relative modes. Scenes and pages keep large setups organized: up to 16 scenes, each with 12 pages of 16 controls, give you access to as many as 192 mappable parameters per scene, with 16 presets per scene for fast recall.
Performance tools are baked in, not bolted on. Snapshot morphing lets you glide between stored parameter states, grouping links multiple encoders to a single master for macro-style control, and per‑encoder motion recording captures and replays automation without leaving the hardware. Dual USB‑C, 3.5 mm TRS MIDI in plus dual MIDI outs, and Bluetooth MIDI cover studio rigs, hybrid setups and mobile devices alike, while the included travel case and 370 g footprint make the E16 equally at home in a backpack or on a crowded live rig.
