A lively semi-modular keyboard with a serious analog core, the Lifeforms SV-2 is built for deep modulation, vivid timbres, and hands-on sound design. It combines two thru-zero triangle-core oscillators with Pulse Symmetry, Blade, and classic waveforms, plus thru-zero FM, phase modulation, linear FM, hard sync, and on-demand tuning for sounds that stay expressive even under extreme modulation.
The rest of the signal path is just as flexible. Two voltage-controlled LFOs can run at audio rate for extra oscillator duties, while a square-wave sub-oscillator and analog white noise add weight and texture. Dual Pittsburgh state-variable filters bring highpass, bandpass, lowpass, combo, and random responses, along with character modes and overdrive options for everything from clean shaping to saturated, animated tones.
A pair of analog ADSR envelopes, dual VCAs, a spring reverb with tonal tilt EQ and feedback, and a complex arpeggiator round out the instrument. The SV-2 also offers monophonic, one-button paraphonic, and patchable full duophonic voicing, plus a 37-key keybed with pitch and mod wheels and a 24HP Eurorack expansion bay for integrating modules anywhere in the signal path.
