This is the Polyend Drums flagship hybrid drum machine, not the smaller Polyend Step pedal-style drum machine that the previous report accidentally described. It combines analog drum voice architecture, digital synthesis, samples, sequencing, performance controls, and extensive I/O in a full desktop drum-machine format.
The hardware centers on eight tracks and four analog voices built on modern SSI chips. Each analog voice stacks dual analog VCOs, a noise source, and an additional digital oscillator for hybrid layering or FM modulation, then runs through a multimode analog filter and VCA. Alongside that analog section, Drums adds digital synthesis methods, sample-based instruments, eight independent LFOs, and a library of more than forty instruments with sub-mode mutations.
Its sequencer supports deep per-track control, probability, micro-timing, parameter locks, pattern chaining, generative tools, and multiple track play modes. Performance features include the X0Y fader for kit morphing, instant fills, and pattern or kit switching without stopping playback, while the back panel provides stereo main outputs, eight individual track outputs, stereo input, headphone output, TRS MIDI in/out/thru, and USB-C.
