The Tracker+ is Polyend's answer to musicians who want the specificity and workflow of classic tracker software like LSDJ or Renoise, but in a standalone hardware box that doesn't require a computer. It's a 16-track sequencer, sampler, synthesizer, and drum machine that builds on the original Tracker by essentially doubling down on what made it special while addressing what users asked for.
The heart of the Tracker+ is its tracker-style sequencer, which lets you compose with a column-based note entry system where you can modify instruments, notes, and effects settings per individual step. You get 256 patterns with 16 by 128 steps each, giving you room to build intricate arrangements. The first eight tracks are universal and can handle stereo samples, MIDI, or synth engines. Tracks 9 through 16 are dedicated to MIDI or synth and drum machine sequencing. The interface centers around 48 illuminated silicone pads for navigation and performance, a responsive jog wheel, and rubbered keys. Everything connects via USB audio, MIDI in and out, a stereo TRS audio input for sampling, and a headphone output.
Sonically, the Tracker+ packs four synthesis engines: ACD is a monophonic synth with one oscillator, FAT delivers classic virtual analogue sounds with three oscillators, VAP is a virtual analogue polysynth, and WTFM is a 2-operator FM engine. There's also a dedicated PERC drum machine engine that covers TR-808 and 909-style sounds plus modern territory. You can load eight polyphonic voices across three synth instruments per project. The sampler now records in stereo and offers eight playback modes including 1-shot, forward, backward, ping-pong looping, slicing, beat slicing, granular, and wavetable conversion. Effects are extensive per track: filters, delay, reverb, overdrive, bitcrusher, chorus, flanger, 3-band EQ, compressor, and more. A dedicated synth patch editor with over 100 tweakable parameters makes customization straightforward. The Tracker+ also includes a built-in FM radio for sampling unexpected sources, plus a master mixer with global saturation, bass boost, and space effects.
