Quad Modular Filter

RackmountAnalog

Only 100 units ever made, this limited-edition beast from 2000 packs four independent Sherman Filterbanks into one sleek modular powerhouse, turning any signal into a sonic monster with pure analog grit.

Each of its four channels delivers low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass filters with resonance, frequency sweeps, and ADSR envelopes that swing positive or negative—switchable parallel or serial for wild routing. You've got four LFOs for modulation mayhem, FM and ring mod inputs that eat CV, audio, or external triggers, plus a shared ADSR with output for chaining into bigger rigs, and full MIDI control to lock it all down. Housed in a compact 19-inch rack format around 430mm wide and shallow enough for tight spaces, its intuitive front-panel knobs beg for hands-on tweaking, whether distorting drums, mangling synths, or expanding a Eurorack setup.

Owners still chase these on the used market, praising the fat tube-like overdrive and endless harmonic creation that no digital box matches—though some note it shines brightest with attenuated inputs to tame the input hunger. A true vintage gem for filter fanatics.
