DesktopAnalogMonophonic

Back in 1997, this Swiss handmade gem emerged from the same workshop behind Technosaurus' legendary Selector modular systems, distilling pure analog monosynth magic into a pint-sized module smaller than a TB-303.

Its single analog VCO delivers sawtooth and square waves, beefed up by a mixable sub-octave square for thick basslines, with transpose down two octaves, LFO pitch mod, and rock-solid discrete circuitry that stays stable for decades. The standout filter switches between 12dB/oct (MS-20 style) and 24dB/oct (Moog-like) lowpass modes, with cutoff, resonance, and dedicated envelope/LFO amount controls; a simple AD envelope shapes both filter and VCA (switchable for gated level), while the LFO offers triangle or square waves for speed-modulated filter or pitch antics. Controls are laid out like a classic 70s panel—tune, glide (portamento), trigger button, and clever mini-jack I/O that doubles as audio out/input for external processing via a Y-cable—powered by a 12VDC wall wart, all CV/Gate only on the original.

Owners cherish its raw, authentic acid growl and surprising versatility as a filter box, often pairing it with the Cyclodon sequencer; a few note the no-MIDI limitation compared to the later II, but that's part of its pure analog charm.
