Vector curves become patch material in this compact Eurorack module, turning points and curved transitions into voltages you can hear, sequence, or modulate with. Splines uses editable spline shapes as a flexible engine for wavetable-like VCO duties, LFOs, envelopes, step sequencing, quantization, and CV processing.
Up to sixteen user-configurable nodes define the curve, with the X axis acting as time and the Y axis acting as voltage. The module adds tension, continuity, and bias controls for shaping transitions, a wide frequency range from very slow cycles up to audio rates, a built-in quantizer, clipping options, and a rolling oscilloscope for its six CV inputs.
The hardware is a shallow 10 hp, 3U digital module with a front USB-C port for scales, backups, firmware updates, and preset movement. Developer resources and template code are available for custom firmware work, while the internal platform includes an ESP32-S3, PCM5102 stereo DAC, MCP3208 ADC, and FE-RAM persistent memory.
