TR-Valkyrie Hot Rod Analog Synthesizer

DesktopAnalog

Picture a synthesizer born from a repurposed vintage test oscillator, running at blistering high voltages with four pentode tubes screaming in unison to conjure sounds from the edge of analog reality.

This all-analog beast centers on a quad tube oscillator delivering raw, unstable tones, paired with a ring modulator and twin pentode preamp that can morph line-level inputs into total sonic carnage via its audio in jack. Seven vactrol-based CV inputs with individual attenuators and 11 control knobs—including a massive plate-sized fine tuner—let you tame or unleash parameters with surgical precision, all powered by a massive linear point-to-point supply. Housed in a monolithic 12" x 11" x 8" heavy-duty Palo Alto chassis weighing a hefty 22 lbs (or rackmount option at 24 lbs), it glows with dual power lamps and offers an auxiliary output for wild effects chaining.

Owners call it a "demi-deity" for its unearthly growls and modulation mayhem, though its hands-on, semi-modular nature demands a taste for the raw and unpredictable—no presets, just pure tube-fueled experimentation.
