Ultrasuono is a compact, digital effects unit, field recorder, and USB MIDI controller that listens to both sound and climate data, then feeds them into an evolving effects matrix controlled by environmental sensors. Integrated light, temperature, and humidity sensors continuously influence processes such as filtering, space, and saturation, making every performance and recording session unique. You can capture sound via the built in electret microphone or stereo line inputs, let the onboard microprocessor reshape it, and send the transformed stereo signal back out, while simultaneously streaming raw sensor data over USB MIDI to control external instruments and software.
Designed around the flexible ULTRABOARD motherboard, Ultrasuono offers an SD card slot, USB C for power and MIDI, stereo jack inputs and outputs, an OLED display, a single encoder for menu navigation and parameter control, input and output gain knobs, a built in rechargeable battery, and a 1/4 inch mount for stands and tripods. It invites outdoor experiments, installation work, and studio sound design where weather, light, and space play the role of performer.
