A synth that listens to its environment, Synterra turns touch, light, and organic interaction into a living generative performance. Designed as an experimental desktop instrument, it reacts to changes in conductive surfaces, plants, fungi, fruits, and other materials, translating those inputs into evolving musical structures.
Inside, Synterra uses probability and quantizer-based processing to shape incoming data into notes, rhythm, and layered movement across 8 selectable scales. It offers adjustable polyphony from 1 to 5 voices, note ranges spanning up to five octaves, and 9 synth engines that include subtractive, wavetable, resonator, Karplus-Strong, drum, and noise-based sounds.
Built for studio sessions, stage setups, and outdoor experimentation, Synterra can run on USB or battery power and send generative MIDI through USB MIDI and MIDI OUT. It also accepts MIDI IN for external control of its scale and harmonic structure, making it as playable as it is unpredictable.
