Vermona’s drumDING is a hybrid drum machine built around a single, flexible analog drum voice feeding six sample-based tracks, inviting you to design your own kits and instantly capture them via internal resampling. That analog voice runs through a multimode filter with lowpass, bandpass and highpass modes and resonant 12 dB/oct characteristics, then gets bounced into up to 32 sample slots per project that live alongside external recordings from the aux input and SD card. Each project offers six sequencer tracks, up to 64 steps per track, with parameter locks, probability and polymetric options to push your beats beyond straight 4/4.
A high-contrast OLED display is tightly paired with four encoders, giving immediate control over sound shaping and a suite of DSP-based effects including bit reduction, drive, delay, reverb and amplitude modulation. Performance functions like FILL, TEMP and LOCK, plus per-track mute and solo and pattern chaining, turn drumDING into a live instrument rather than a static groovebox. Connectivity is ready for studio and stage: six individual track outputs, a dedicated analog-voice output, balanced stereo main outputs, a headphone output, trigger output, CV input, MIDI in/out over DIN and USB, and an aux audio input for sampling other gear. Housed in a desktop-friendly chassis at 33 x 21 x 11 cm and about 2.5 kg, drumDING delivers Vermona’s German-made build quality while rethinking how a drum machine can work: one focused analog voice, deep digital control, and a sequencer that keeps sound design and performance in constant motion.
