SIEL

SIEL was an Italian synthesizer and keyboard manufacturer active from approximately 1979 to 1987. The company produced notable polyphonic synthesizers including the Opera 6, DK600, and DK700 series, which were based on integrated circuits from SSM. SIEL also manufactured string synthesizers such as the Orchestra, which was imported and re-badged by ARP as the Quartet. Roland acquired SIEL in 1987 primarily for its sales and distribution channels in Europe, and subsequently discontinued all SIEL products.
