KeyboardAnalogMonophonic

Back in the early 1980s, Italian synth makers dreamed up clever hybrids, and this one packs a monophonic lead synth derived from the Siel Mono alongside a polyphonic string machine echoing the ARP Quartet—all in a single 49-key chassis for instant versatility.

Its fully analog heart splits into two sections: the mono side with a DCO oscillator delivering sawtooth or square waves across 10 presets like brass, reeds, and strings, tweakable in free mode via ADSR envelope, self-oscillating lowpass filter with cutoff and resonance sliders, plus a triangular LFO for modulation; the poly side offers mixable presets for violin, flute, guitar, piano, and more using a TDA1008 generator, with octave options from 4' to 32' and an analog chorus effect on select sounds. Controls crowd the panel with 44 sliders and 6 buttons for precise adjustments, a pitchbend joystick, portamento slider, and split keyboard mode to assign sections to left or right halves. Separate outputs let you process mono and poly signals independently, with footswitch jacks for sustain and decay plus a volume pedal input.

Vintage players love its raw Italo disco punch and lush poly layers, though some note the mono section's fixed volume per preset and lack of full keyboard tracking on saw waves as quirks that demand creative mixing. A true collector's gem for blending leads with orchestral swells.
