digineighbor adds a NEIGHBOR SRC machine to the original Digitakt, letting one track process another track’s audio through its own overdrive, filter, amp envelope, pan and effects sends. The source can be any audio track. SLOT selects that track, LEV sets the level into the receiving chain, GAIN adds output gain, and TUNE supplies a note-aware pitch shifter over a ±24-semitone range. Parameters can be saved, parameter-locked and modulated; the receiving track still needs trigs and an open enough amp envelope to pass the sound. The source is mono and tapped after its filter but before volume. Each routing hop adds one audio block; pitch shifting adds more latency and can reduce the level of noisy material. Version 0.7 uses elekloader core 3.0 and machine-pages, with OS-specific builds for 1.53 and 1.54. The author documents an early routing test lasting about 13 minutes and a successful physical Digitakt OS 1.54 test of 0.7 alongside other modules. Earlier intermediate revisions and individual controls also have emulator-only checks, so the evidence does not imply every combination has been tested. Build from your own matching stock OS and follow the recovery notes.

Use the test-status table to select builds, watch DSP usage, and combine modules in elekloader using the matching official OS. Standalone scope images can disable Song mode, unlike the modular Utilities build.

DT-FM adds a dedicated four-operator FM SRC machine to the original Elektron Digitakt, with builds for OS 1.53 and 1.54. Eight algorithms determine operator routing. The SRC page selects the operator and exposes its ratio, level, attack and decay, with a feedback/brightness control and normal pitch tuning. The synth then uses Digitakt’s standard AMP, filter, mixer and effects path. SRC controls support parameter locks; locking the operator selector lets different trigs address different operators. Operator settings are stored with project patterns, while sound-pool and SRC-page copy behavior have specific limitations described in the manual. Retriggering chokes the previous voice on that track. The author reports physical hardware testing with four DT-FM tracks at roughly 95% CPU, or 85% with FAST AUDIO, and explicitly makes no eight-track claim. Version 1.2.1 adds SRC parameter-lock support and fixes operator-value feedback. Download the matching .elemod and build with elekloader and your own stock OS; keep projects backed up and account for DSP headroom when combining modules.

DigiFilter expands the original Digitakt’s per-track filter selection with BP and BP2 band-pass modes, COMB and TRASH feedback-comb effects, and OB4/OB2 low-pass models inspired by the Oberheim OB-1 ladder. The new modes use each track’s existing cutoff, resonance and filter envelope. The FLTR page draws mode-specific response curves and type glyphs; COMB/TRASH also expose harmonics and damping on a second page while preserving the stock controls. Existing stock filter types continue to use their original processing. The project supplies OS-specific elekloader modules and source, with the current 1.1a package covering Digitakt mk1 OS 1.53 and 1.54. The author documents a three-day device stress test and explicitly records 1.1a passing on physical hardware with both OS versions. This is not a Digitakt II module. High resonance on hot signals can clip in BP mode, and calibration changes can make older OB4/OB2 sounds differ at the same saved knob values. Read the current mode notes, use the correct build and core, and build from your own official OS with backups available.

digislicer adds a dedicated DIGISLICER SRC machine and waveform slice editor to the original Digitakt. It can place and edit slices directly on the selected sample, generate transient-based or equal-grid slices, audition them from trig keys, and play them from the sequencer without first saving a sliced copy to the +Drive. Slice data is retained per sample so it follows the material between projects. AUTO chooses transient slicing, and PIPO provides forward/backward ping-pong playback across the selected slice range. The module also supplies a playhead view, zooming and direct slice-keyboard behavior. Version 2.3 uses elekloader core 3.0 and machine-pages so it can share a build with compatible machines such as NEIGHBOR and SOPHIE; use the release appropriate to the installed core and OS 1.53 or 1.54. The author records real-device tests of the original editor and a successful 2.3 test on Digitakt OS 1.54 with several other modules. Individual intermediate and newer release changes can remain emulator-only, so consult the current release notes. Build from your own stock OS and retain backups and a stock recovery image.

digistring, displayed on the instrument as STRING, is a Karplus–Strong physical-modeling SRC machine for the original Digitakt. It offers pluck, bowed, mallet-hit and noise exciters, with stiffness, pluck position, softness, damping and decay controls for string-like and bell-like sounds. It uses the normal Digitakt AMP, filter, mixer and effects chain, and borrows stock parameter slots so controls can be saved, parameter-locked and reached over MIDI. The project site includes an audio demonstration. Version 0.8.0 provides OS 1.53 and 1.54 builds, with a STRING-fast variant that also uses digihealth’s FAST AUDIO support. Install one variant, not both. Release notes document physical tests of STRING and STRING-fast on OS 1.53, and STRING-fast on OS 1.54 with several other module combinations; five tracks ran at about 95% DSP with FAST AUDIO. The plain 1.54 build was not separately flashed, and some other combinations were lint-checked only. Low notes can sound darker because of the memory-saving engine design. Build the chosen module and matching core with elekloader from your own stock OS.

digihealth adds performance and diagnostic tools to the original Elektron Digitakt. FAST AUDIO relocates the audio renderer’s hot code into unused on-chip SRAM, reducing memory stalls while retaining the same audio calculations. SYSTEM INFO alternates CPU/DSP load, RAM and free sample memory in the top bar. A read-only SysEx diagnostics channel exposes measurements to a computer, including render timing and the fast-code state. Both features are controlled from SETTINGS. The author measured a physical Digitakt’s renderer dropping from 537 to 480 microseconds per block, with DSP load falling from 80.5% to 72.0% for the same song. That confirms the original Digitakt implementation on hardware. The repository also provides Digitakt OS 1.54 and Digitone/Keys OS 1.43/1.44 builds, but explicitly distinguishes their emulator checks from completed device tests; the Digitone version supplies SYSTEM INFO only. Install the matching .elemod and core with elekloader using your own stock OS. FAST AUDIO performs runtime integrity checks and can fall back to the original code. Treat newer ports and the USB channel according to their documented test status.

DigiCandy adds full-screen image and animation overlays to the Elektron Digitakt mk1 on OS 1.53, and Digitone mk1/Digitone Keys on OS 1.43. TRK + YES on Digitakt, or MIDI + YES on Digitone, toggles a 128×64 graphic over the display while the instrument keeps running underneath. Ready-made overlays range from single frames to animations of up to 60 frames. Additional controls can advance frames or play an animation while the modifier is held. The repository includes ready-built .elemod overlays plus tools for creating a custom overlay from a PNG, GIF or folder of frames. These are combined with the appropriate elekloader core and the owner’s stock OS; they are not standalone firmware downloads. The author explicitly reports real-hardware testing and describes the project as work in progress. A known key-latch bug can reopen an overlay after it is dismissed; tapping the modifier twice clears it. The preview graphics come from the related DigiSplash project. Code licensing and the separate personal/non-commercial terms for supplied overlays are documented in the repository.

Digisophie adds Sophie, a metallic percussion synthesis machine, to the original Elektron Digitakt (MK1) running OS 1.53. Adapted from Sophie for Schwung, it offers four models: FUSE, BOOM, PIPE and SHARD. Pitch, wavefolding, pitch sweep, metallic intensity, feedback and inharmonic character can be parameter-locked, while the machine uses Digitakt’s existing amplitude, filter, mixer and effects path. The mod installs through elekloader using your own stock OS file, with Elektron Transfer handling the firmware upload. One instance runs without FAST AUDIO; the developer’s earlier hardware test found two instances practical with that option enabled. Eight-track operation is not claimed. The Sophie adaptation is MIT licensed; the optional diagnostic has a separate GPL license.
