Kastle 2 Wave Bard

DesktopDigitalMonophonic

Imagine slipping this pocket-sized sonic wizard into your bag and pulling out endless rhythms from a single sample—it's the kind of gear that turns a quiet train ride into a beat-making session.

At just 95 x 70 x 45 mm and 130 grams, it fits in your palm, powered by three AA batteries or USB-C for true anywhere inspiration. Load your own samples via a simple web app—up to 89 seconds mono or 44 seconds stereo at 44kHz/16-bit, organized into banks of 3-32 clips each. Twist the pitch knob across four octaves, modulate with CV for quantized notes or free-running vibes, and shape playback via sample select, length envelopes, and a resonant low/high-pass filter. A triangle/pulse LFO, tempo-synced pattern generator with gate/CV outs, stereo delay/chorus/flanger effects, and full patchable I/O including USB MIDI make it a modular playground in miniature, with stereo in/out that drives headphones up to 250 ohms.

Since its release last year, players love how it sparks unexpected grooves without overwhelming complexity, though some note the sample time fills up fast with stereo material—perfect for quick experiments rather than hour-long recordings.
