KeyboardAnalogPolyphonic

Back in 1984, this Italian beauty beat out even the DX7 to market with velocity-sensitive keys on a budget polysynth, delivering that thick, stable analog heft from 12 DCOs across its six voices—think Juno-106 but fatter, thanks to dual oscillators pumping out saw, pulse, and sync tones with 16', 8', and 4' options.

Weighing a solid 15kg in its 90x39x18cm frame, it packs a 61-key velocity keyboard, hands-on sliders for real-time tweaks, and an SSM analog filter with self-resonance, ADSR envelopes for VCF/VCA, plus three LFOs for wild pitch mod, PWM, and filter sweeps—LFO1 and LFO2 share speed/depth for osc A/B, while the third goes rogue on modulation mayhem. Full MIDI implementation lets it receive Omni/Poly, split channels, and play nice with expanders or sequencers, all stored in 95 onboard programs.

Vintage synth heads cherish its underestimated "Italian Prophet" vibe—warm, fat leads and pads that hold tune forever, though some note the shared LFO controls feel quirky. A collector's gem if you snag a serviced one.
