Gnomad turns the M-VAVE FM-1 into a picture-led synthesizer for children and new players. Easy mode uses sound pictures and four colour-coded knobs, with on-screen help explaining the controls. Sounds include a singing Gnome, organ, bells, piano, choir, playful effects and drums. Each sound gives the knobs its own assignments. Built-in grooves, loop recording with a count-in, saved songs and bar-aligned playback controls support making and performing music. Advanced mode exposes four tracks, a step sequencer, effects and MIDI over USB and TRS without discarding the music made in Easy mode. The firmware runs standalone without an app or account; installation uses a Python tool on a computer.
